Hiwi the Kiwi Fishing Story Winner

Tomas from room 8 wrote a fabulous piece of writing about respecting sea birds and sustainable fishing. His writing was selected as the Hiwi the Kiwi story writer winner! Here he is showing off his story in print in the August edition of the NZ Fishing Magazine. Here is Tomas' writing: If you are going fishing you will need to be careful of the sea birds because you might catch a sea bird and it might die.  So shoot them with a water gun. You need to measure the fish too because you might catch a little one. If you take the little one in your boat your boat will be taken off you.  Don’t keep the big ones because they need to have babies to make more fish. The medium ones you can keep only if they are 30 centimetres you pick them up with a wet towel and put them back carefully or else they might die.
